Henna + Jagua Design

Natural Henna + Jagua

Henna (Mehndi) is an ancient body art tradition that has been practiced for centuries in South and Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa - intersecting all cultures and faith traditions. It is often associated with rites of passage and special occasions. The Henna plant (Lawsonia inermis), when dried, ground, made into a paste and applied to the skin, produces a completely natural, reddish-brown stain that lasts 1 - 2 weeks. (Authentic henna is NEVER black, nor does it come in manufactured, shelf-stable cones that cause skin irritation/burns).

Natural Henna is completely safe during pregnancy, for children and on all skin types and skin colours. Our henna paste is handmade using only Certified Organic body art quality Rajasthani henna powder from India, organic cane sugar, lavender essential oil and distilled water. Safe for individuals with allergies or skin sensitivities.

Appointments in Jagua Gel are also available for those with darker skin tones or those who prefer a dark grey-black stain (but without the toxic synthetic chemicals and side effects of black/chemical henna). Click on 'Jagua Gel Cones' below for more information.
